Baghdad Group is an entirely family owned group of companies, whose seed was founded in 1935 as a watch and jewelry boutique under the name "Lauria shop", named after Mr. Lauria Wassef the senior member of the family at Fayoum city.                       

This seed flourished and grew   gauntly into BTC Group of Companies,                 One of Egypt's pioneer and leading companies in electronics and watches.  *BTC was established in 1958 .BTC is the sole distributor for Panasonic Corporation since 1974.Panasonic is the biggest Japanese manufacturer for electronic & electrical products.

BTC has around 650 employees  &  10 Wholesale points of sales all over  Egypt,
 Upper Egypt ( Malawy – Asyout – Qena – Luxor – Aswan),  Alex , Delta ( Tanta – Mansoura)
 Hurghada , Port said.

Panasonic Factory

In 1998, Baghdad Trading established the most up-to-date factory under the name of  “The Egyptian Japanese Electric Manufacturing Company” EJEMC      under license of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., Osaka Japan, producing  Panasonic TVs locally 40% local components.
